[Sectus Mortis]

Sectus sat silently reading to himself in the school library, a book about a man named "Andros the Great" smiling as he did so he occasionally turned a page and read onward, he looked up and raised an eyebrow intrigued as the library began to fill up with studious Ravenclaws and Slytherins. He smiled in spite of himself, thinking happily to himself that the students were going to do good this year... the Slytherins and Ravenclaws, at least.

As he heard the door being pushed open to the library, he looked up, interested in who the new arrival was.

Victoria was walking around the castle trying to get a feeling for her new surroundings. It was strange being here. She herself had never went to Hogwarts. She had gone to school in Australia. She in fact had never been out of Australia until now. Now she was in a strange castle, in a strange land, far away from her home, but at least she was teaching the subject she loved.

She was walking along the second floor corridor when she came to a door. She looked at the door and tilted her head to the side. She wasn't sure where it went to. She pushed open the door with a loud bang and found herself face to face with the library. She looked around and everyone was staring at her. "Opps... Sorry everyone," she said.

((Hasn't Victoria taught here at hogwarts a few years, because she knows the headmaster's speech? and doesn't she have a goal to gain his love?))

Sectus gently looked up from his book as if the door had been quietly pushed open to see his Astronomy Professor, Victoria Sinclair. He smiled to himself, watching her apologize to everyone, clearly embarrassed. He then continued to read, waiting for her to enter the library.

Victoria quietly shut the door behind her before turning back to the library. She looked around the room. It was lined with rows and rows of bookshelves that seemed to spread to the end of time. While she was looking around her eyes came across the Headmaster sitting at one of the tables. She slowly walked over to him.

"Hello, Headmaster," she said in her Australian accent.

Sectus looked up at her with a friendly smile, and said "Well hello there, Victoria. How has your time at Hogwarts been going since I approved your application over the summer?" he turned the page once more, and motioned for her to have a seat on the opposite side of the table

Victoria sat down in an empty seat across from him. "Besides the fact I keep getting lost, it's been good," she said smiling, "I will say it is hard being away from home but I am always up to trying new things." She looked around the room taking in the grander scale of the magnificent library. "This library is bigger then the one we had in Australia."

Sectus chuckled and smiled across at her "Well, we do pride ourselves by the books we have here at hogwarts, Victoria" He said, as he silently read down the page, then turned it over to the next page "So, how have the students and staff been treating you?" he said as he began reading the next page about how Andros ventured to the snakes cove.

Victoria looked over at him still reading the book. She felt he was being a little rude. Here she was trying to have a conversation with him and he was reading. If she had been reading and someone had come over to talk with her she would have put down her book. She let the thoughts slip away. "Oh... well...I don't know," she said, "They are all kind and helpful but those Slytherins can be mean. Just the other day I was trying to find my way to the Owlery so I could send a letter to my family back home and they lead me to the Dungeons."

Sectus marked the book and set it down "Well, that's very rude of those Slytherins. The next time you find yourself in need of getting to the owlery, it is stationed in the east tower, my dear" he said, smiling at her in a friendly manner "And I trust you remember that my office is in the dungeons, as well?"

[Victoria Sinclair]

Victoria smiled at him. "I know where it is now. One of the Ravenclaws helped me find it. Now those are nice students," she said nodding her head lightly. "Very Nice students indeed. They are always so helpful and smart too. They are always nice except for when they think they know more about the subject then you do." She started drawing circles on the table trying to keep herself entertained. She was growing bored from just talking. She hated sitting in one place for too long. "I think I remember how to get there but just in case... why don't you remind me?"

Sectus smiled and stood quietly. "Sure, I would be glad to escort you to the owlery, my dear Victoria." he said politely to her as he walked around the table and toward the exit. "Just follow me, and we will be there in no time" he said happily to her.

Victoria stood up but not before tripping on the leg of the table. She stumbled forward and caught herself on a chair. "Not again." she said laughing at herself. "That is like the tenth time I've tripped today." She stood up tall and shook her head trying to brush off the situation. "Okay, let's go." she said smiling.

Sectus smiled, and walked out the door, Victoria trailing
